Oh, I don't know if you need help, Lara. Not in the "Boy, am I crazy" sense, anyhow. It will be fun to work on these and you will learn a lot. Between them, you might have all the necessary parts. And the red eye belts are no big deal.

I got a Singer 500 Rocketeer on Freecycle to help with quilts I make for homeless families. It was seized up everywhere a machine could possibly be seized, and somebody had decorated it with stickers and other sticky stuff. They also spilled something permanently sticky all over the cabinet. I spent the last two nights meching it, got every little thing in order, and am I pleased! He (his name is Rocky) is handsome and not scratched, and I think he has had very little use. Rocky is feeling much better and I discovered he has a stitch, with a cam, that I have been wanting for a particular quilt. I am so happy about this machine. It's a permanent part of my herd, now.

See what you can do with your Rocketeers. You might be pleasantly surprised.
