I bought some 'unscented' Dove body wash. Guess what? It lists 'fragrance' as one of the ingredients! It's near the bottom of the list, but it's in there! The Equate store brand equivalent is the same way - unscented on the label, fragrance in the ingredients.
I definitely agree with your first question, since some fragrances make me literally unable to breathe--as in, not just dislisking the smell but actually unable to inhale at all--so I avoid as best I can. The difference between "unscented" and "fragrance free" is important: unscented only means it does not have a specific scent, while fragrance free means NO fragrance is added. I buy only the latter. One of the most annoyingly labeled products is cat litter, with most of the "unscented" labeled ones highly perfumed. Since most, if not all, veterinarians recommend fragrance free litter, why is it so hard to find?
