Default ...and now for something completely different...

I was asked to do this applique wall hanging for my friend's preschool fundraiser and it turned out to be more fun than I thought it would: cut and sew into place and no matching, no rules, no points to keep pointed. Measures 30x30 roughly and has some hand quilting with orange and gold and green embroidery floss and the handwritten words: "A wise old owl sat on an oak. The more he heard, the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard. Shall we be like that wise old bird?"
There's thin batting and muslin on the back so you can see the embroidery floss...so the back is kind of interesting too. The hanging cord is just cotton string braided and tied and glued onto a dowel rod.
Thanks for taking a look!
