If you are saving $1400 jump on it before anybody else does. I have the same set up and my learning curve was not as huge as I expected. I have always had mechanical machines and I like the ease of maintenance. Just one tip, this is a good, solid, workhorse, but it is not über fast, so no sprint quilting . Good luck, you are going to love it. You can modify the handles for under $5 bucks with PVC parts from Home Depot. Good luck!
