The Mr. Needlebar Needle Book shows the New Royal as being made by St. John/ Royal/
Free Sewing Machine Co.
It lists two different needles a 15X1 and a 20X1. If you don't have a 20X1 and the 15X1 won't pick up stitches, try the scooting the 15X1 down in the needlebar slightly. The only difference between the two needles is the length.

The machine was rusted fast and nothing would move but a can of WD40 later and things are moving. The cabinet is in really good condition and just needs a little restoring.
