This is what I do also. I put a sleeve at both ends of the quilt, make sure the top "hanger" is sturdy enough to hold the quilt straight, and then put a long wooden rod in the bottom sleeve to keep it hanging straight. I learned this after I'd hung a quilt in my living room, and it wouldn't hang straight even though it laid flat on the floor. So I added a bottom sleeve and put in a wooden rod, and voila! It hangs perfectly straight and flat against the wall now!
