My first reaction to the sailboats four in a row, was to do the sailboat bottoms in a continuous strip with their backgrounds. They are both the same shape. Fabric saver. Make the sails with the HST's and fill in the background piece above the small sail. There would be a strip between the sails blocks the same width as the space between the boats bottoms.Then sew the bottoms strip to the sails strip. I haven't done it, but just had an idea that could work.
