I got a free gift a 6 fat quarters. I like them, but they are not in my usual choice of colors. Any ideas of what could be done to use them all together, without needing to add much extra fabric, preferably not more than a little bit of solids? Thanks for any help.
My favorite quickie quilt is to take several coordinating fat quarters and stack them and then trim so all are the same size (about 17 x 20). Then I cut them in half (10 x 17 maybe). Then I cut 2-1/2" or 3" off top and bottom of the two stacks. Then I cut the same off the sides of each stack. Then I shuffle the leftover center section and sew the blocks together. You would end up with 12 blocks approximately 9" x 16" Then, with a little bit of sashing, I have a baby sized quilt about 45 x 42
