I currently have my machine sitting on a arbourite ( sp) kitchen table. It works well but I want a surface flush with my machine too. My son is going to measure and cut a hole in some finished wood and I will sit it on top of the table. He will fasten a couple of wooden blocks on both ends underneath it to bring it even with my machine.
