I bought the Gingher seam ripper and have a love/hate relationship with it. It is plenty sharp enough but I can't get used to the design -- the curved "point" doesn't slip easily under the stitches at all. It is SO sharp that I have cut into my fabric more than once, not to mention taking some really nasty chunks out of my fingers when it slipped. I don't use it much anymore. I love my little red F&P seam ripper holder base for holding the ripper upright when I separate my string pieced blocks--it's like having an extra hand!

I really hate my binding tool. I never use it. It makes a very simple task seem awfully complicated, in my opinion. I learned how to bind without any tools whatsoever so I guess I'm lucky.
