My two sons got together and sent me a 1946 Featherweight with manual and CD from McCallum. She was very dirty and smelly but wasn't used much. The last person to work on her didn't put the bobbin race back in right. They have my sympathy, even with the manual it took me awhile to figure it out.
I pried out the hardened grease, oiled, greased, and cleaned everything. Then just a short spurt on the motor. She just purrs along. When the Singer motor lubricant gets here I plan to start piecing. I just wonder how they knew I wanted one so much.
