TY all for the compliments on the "Smooth Sailing" quilt. I never realized until I was about halfway thru that none of my blocks were made the same, haha. But I love it anyway!
Krystyna, your apron is even the same color gingham as the one I made my Mother. Hmmm? Wonder where I put that? My mother passed away in 2006 but it's because of her that I sew and make quilts. The first small quilt I made was "America". Bottom row -- music notes to first line of America. One row of 'spacious skies' above a 'row of amber grain' and then a row of "purple mountain majesties" above a row of 'fruited plain' (little print of different fruits) surrounded by 'from sea to shining sea!' border and an American Flag waving proudly over quilt from L.H. side.
See what I mean? My mother and my sister said I'm nuts! It sold at Quilt Show silent auction for $17 and I had the last laugh, haha. Someone else must be nutty, too.
