QuiltE, I once worked on a farm too when I was engaged to a farmer's son. I had to help when a calf was born, that really was a great moment. Not so great when the calf was served on a plate a few weeks later
I couldn't eat it, I was so sad. So they told me I would be a bad farmer's wife
I loved working in the field on the tractor but I don't miss it as I wasn't brought up with it nor did I marry this farmer's son!
