GO SHARKS!!! Altho, with family in St. Louis, they're now suffering from the "Blues", and being a transplant from Chicago, it gets to be an interesting time within the family. Last year, when the St. Blues knocked out the Sharks, my nephew had a great time sending me "sympathetic" texts. Ha!
As for the Chicago Blackhawks...well, the Sharks have their Stanley Cup winning goalie ... who wasn't able to stop the LA Kings last night.
We're going to Saturday's game at the Shark Tank against LA. My friend from Canada (a Canucks fan) reminded me this morning that the team that knocks the LA Kings out of the playoffs has gone on to win the Stanley Cup. That held until last year when the Kings won the Cup.
If it comes down to a 'Hawks vs. the Sharks series, I'll just have to wear my 'Hawks t-shirt under my Sharks jacket, sweatshirt, jersey...
I did that 3 years ago when we flew to Chicago during the Sharks / 'Hawks series...and when I walked through O'Hare with my Sharks jacket unzipped, showing the 'Hawks t-shirt, no one even noticed. Phooey.
Yes, we're Sharks fans (have had part-ownership of season tickets for about 10 years), but will also say the shortened season was certainly a pain in the a** and a slap in the face to the fans.
