Luckily the fabric was cut with the grain of the pattern, otherwise I would have had to trim the fabric to "square up" the pattern with how I wanted it to display in the block. As it was, it was only off by a thread or two, so I didn't have to waste much. I knew I wanted the pattern to lay left to right, top to bottom, and with the directional being the same if I rotated it 90, once I initially squared it up, the rest was easy.
