No pattern, really. Used the 3" finished triangle paper on a roll. Then just laid out all my 1/2 squares until I liked the design.
There were 6 of us in this exchange. We made however many triangles we wanted then we mixed all together tossing around a large table then drew out as many as we put in.
I just played around with them for a couple of months before deciding on a final layout
