Default My Tiara Babylock Learning Experience Yesterday

About 6 months ago I posted that I had gone with a friend to test drive the Tiara Babylock quilting machine. I was there to help her keep her feet on the ground. I am a complete novice at FMQ, but I got to try out the machine.

Well, she bought the machine for her non-profit and just recently started offering people the opportunity to use the machine for charity quilting. I was her first candidate and enjoyed my first session yesterday.

It was a wonderful experience! I am not a coordinated person, and I will require a lot of practice, but she is a wonderful teacher, and the machine ran perfectly. I left home with little confidence, but after 3.5 hours with her, I now feel like FMQ is something I can do. Or I should say, that I will be able to do. I brought home a preemie quilt and a children's quilt that were completely quilted -- by me!

I urge anyone who has an opportunity like this to take advantage of it. Whether or not you eventually go the direction of FMQ, it will broaden your horizons.

My next session is next Friday. I can hardly wait!
