Perfectly normal. As others have posted the first washing will allow the warp and weft threads to move back into place and those holes will no longer be there. The batting will also expand out to close them up. You probably never noticed before but it is the case with every quilt that is done by machine, not just LA. But because the quilt sandwich is manipulated so much on a domestic, many of those holes close back up just from all the handling, smooshing and manipulating needed to get the quilt through the small throat space.
