There are a few foods my kids didn't like but those foods were not important to their diet so I didn't mind them not eating them. By first grade my kids helped themselves and had to eat all they put on their plate. They learned to start with small portions. My youngest decided she was a picky eater after a few kids at school refused to eat anything but chicken nuggets and that is what they ate everyday. So I stopped that by preparing foods she decided she wouldn't eat anymore for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I made her a sack lunch for school and no swapping or borrowing different food was allowed there. Her picky eating stage lasted about a week. LOL
