Default Ordered the fabric for great-niece's quilt

I asked my niece to have her two girls and a boy pick out fabric, sent her a link to FQ bundles on Fat Quarter Shop because that would be a huge selection of coordinating fabrics. They all chose something and I've been working on what to do with them. This one is for the boy http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...w-t221809.html and this is for one of the girls. I've been playing around and this is my 9th saved design and I think this is it.

Been wanting to use the Easy Dresden tool I have so started with that and started connecting them with strips in square and diamond patterns. That led to stalks and then adding the leaves.

This is going to be a fairly easy and quick quilt. Sew the top strip together and applique the top stalk and leaves, inserting the stalk under the edge of the Dresdens and leaving a space unsewn for the other stalk. Do the same with the bottom row with the stalk and leaves. The center row, leave an area unsewn at top and bottom of the Dresdens to insert the stalks. The leaves and stalks in the center strips can be appliqued before attaching the strips, leaving the stalks long to insert under the Dresdens. That leaves just sewing down small areas of applique after the strips are assembled.

Oh... and the butterflies all over come from the fabric. Fussy cut and fuse them.
