I grew up in Alaska. My only time living in Washington was while at PLU. Can't say I miss living in the Tacoma area, although downtown Tacoma has improved dramatically in the past few years. Lots of effort being put into attracting visitors. They have the Museum of Glass now which is just amazing! Lots of Dale Chihuly glass. Gorgeous.
My only visit to North Carolina was a layover at the Charlotte airport on my way to Elizabethton, TN once. My sister lives there. Beautiful area. She used to be in E. City, NC (Her DH was Coast Guard). My dad was Coast Guard too. Seems like everyone we knew was stationed there at one time or another. Somehow we got missed. :-)
