I have the Janome 6600 also and just finished FMQing a quilt yesterday. I use Gutermann 100% polyester thread and the blue dot bobbin case - the only time I have thread problems (eyelashing, etc.) is when I forget to put my pressure foot down - simple mistake but I seem to make it often when FMQ.
