Default My next Scraps and Crump Quilt

Ok here is the order of my choices. The "H" quilt. Then the Pickled Clamshell. Here is a link to B. Brackman's pic of it.

http://barbarabrackman.blogspot.com/...n-pattern.html

I worked on the P C last night and drafted it as best as I could. I am not an expert on the drafting, but here is what I did.

I cut a square of 8.5x8.5 piece of graph paper (no special reason, just wanted a big size to work with). Then I folded it down the middle and across and then diagonally. I then drew a circle with the compass just short of 1/4 ins from the sides of the paper square.

I then drew arcs from the edge of middle mark to the bottom of circle, to end at the middle crease and then repeated on the other side. Now you have your clamshell. Then I took my curvy ruler to distribute the points for the spikes and I shouldn't have bothered lol.

Anyway, I added the 1/4 ins seam allowance to the long part of the CS, and then drew the arc for the collar and the seam allowance. Then I cut it apart and now I have to add the seam allowance to the bottom of the collar and the top of the Clamshell.

Now for the spikes. I folded the collar in half then quarters then eights and marked those with a dot at the top for the point of the spike. Now for the bottom of the spike, I divided the width besides each crease between the two spikes. I know this is just awful but that's what I did and it works for me lol.

I will upload a pattern for you, so not to worry. I will make one CS to test the pattern and then I will be working on my H quilt.
