My hands don't hover, I actually drop it and then pick it out again. LOL I save anything 1/2 inch or bigger. The smaller the piece, the smaller I make my seams. On a strip 1/2 inch wide, I make 1/8 inch seams and still have 1/4 inch of beautiful fabric showing. These small pieces have to be really eye-catching though. Not too much blah stuff. I have enough of that right now to make a few crumb quilts - - - next year! ! !
