For one thing, it would save time. Then: not as many seams, not as much cutting, no wavy strips, no distorted HST, all the things they said in the demo. If you had to have a quilt for someone in a hurry, it sure would cut down on time. Plus not having to spend a lot of time running around looking for coordinating fabric. Yes, it is fun to do, but sometimes, by the time I find what I want, I am burned out on making the quilt. The first quilt that came to mind was from a few threads ago:
