Hope you had a great time at the coast Charlee, I used to live there when I was a kid, great for visit's but too wet for me.
I just got my Crinkle Singer 99-? from GW $,we went and picked it up 45 miles and good shopping up in WA so good deal if I can get it working. It had the thread tension spring hooked under the thread guide? You could not tell that in the online pic.. It has lots of goopy fuzz and rust on the shiney metal parts, some one must have put something on it, put it in "time out" then got rid of it. I hope I don't have a true mess here. I saw something on the motor that makes me think that it might be for the other type of wiring or that it had been changed. What are your thoughts, the pedal looks like the featherweight ones? I put what I had Liquid Wrench on it and let it set overnight, things seem a bit looser today some of what I thought was pure rust looks to be a goopy redish fuzz? Any toughts or ideas would be very helpful for me.If you want I could get a better pic of the motor info.
I hope that it is okay to post these pics here also because I could not explain in words what need to say?
