The only quilts I have ever hung, I made tabs and affixed them to the back of the quilt. They were similar to tab top curtains.
I have a wall hanging, unbound at this point, and I made a sleeve to affix to the back of the quilt. Now my q's..should I bind the quilt first, then add the sleeve? and if I tack the sleeve onto the back of my backing fabric, should I attach both top and bottom of the "tube" (the sleeve). It just seems that only one row of stitches may not be enough to hold the quilt in place without puckering??

I hope this is not too confusing. I am at a standstill and thought I'd ask anyone who may have done this before.
TIA
