It's funny, but right before Mama C's funeral service our minister was trying to figure out what to call these towels she had embroidered for our brides. Some of us said "cup towels" others said "dish towels" and still others "tea towels". I'm not sure what he ended up saying when he was recounting her giving spirit. Growing up in our kitchen we had hand towels - terry - and cup towels - the smoother version we used for drying dishes.
