I love going to thrift stores but very seldom bring home anything but fabrics anymore. However, in the past I have picked up all kinds of things and upcycled them. (Before the word upcycle was being used). I was looking at the lovely stained glass windows someone has posted on the board which reminded me of old windows I used to paint with the glass paint and the stripes you can (still?) buy for the stained glass look. My sister-in-law still has hers hanging in her kitchen and it is at least 12 years old. I guess she really likes it.
