I just had 2 quilts, backed with minky, LA'ed. The first one came back and it was stiff, I used White and Natural. For the second one, I used bamboo batting, and it is much better.
I would think lining it with flannel, as others have suggested, might work well, especially since baby lives in a warmer climate.
