The iron cost $25 new so the shipping is cheaper....
I did consider looking for one that didn't have the auto off feature but I actually like having it. I have forgotten to turn it off a few times in the past so it's a feature I don't mind. It doesn't take all that long for an iron to wake. I'd just trained myself to wake it up and then bring and set up whatever it was that I was going to iron. Usually by the time I set up my fabric the iron is hot and ready.
