I made quilts for my 3 GD's they were all from different wildly colorful prints from my stash. The fabrics they chose were from 1971 1989 and 1999. They all had the same shade of pastel pink in common- With scraps in hand I hit 6 stores -no one had that pink. So to make me feel better I thought I would stop at a couple of my favorite ''junk'' stores. I found a full size bed skirt with THAT pink for 50 cents-I still have yards left over after finishing the bindings And my SGD's got the binding color they all chose. They all have the 'eye' for color schemes. and can't wait to start making their own quilts.And my DIL wants to start learning how to make cloths for her and the girls. Who knew a 50 cent score could be so full of blessings : )
