I have a Continental iron purchased from Amazon.com for around $40 (no shipping cost with Prime for 2-day delivery). It is a dry iron (non-steam), doesn't have an auto shut off, and gets and stays hot. I have several irons, cordless, steam, B&D, Rowenta, but the Continental is my absolute favorite. I've dropped it on the floor twice, and it keeps on working. I purchased it when I started using fusibles so that I wouldn't have to worry about having non-fused little hole-shaped places. Now I use it for everything.
