Since guilds are usually non-profit, I don't understand why some have such high dues, especially the big guilds, unless they have to pay a lot for the meeting venue.
We are considering raising from 20 to 25. We are very small- less tan 100 and having guest speakers of worth is sometimes $500. So needless to say not much of that. We have not had great luck with quilt raffle as fundraiser. We need to infuse some activities into our group......we do some charitable but nothing massive...but I think be ause we are small it is not easy....new officers so maybe a lite will go on somewhere
