I don't think you could go wrong with either a Roxanne or a Thimblelady. I have a Thimblelady, but prefer the Roxanne.

the plastic Thimblelady IS still available online! (It's the thimble that fits my budget!!) I'll be looking for the Roxanne, though, (just to try) since so many of you have recommended it!
