If you have the newer washer-dryer, they have a wool cycle. My dryer has a rack to air dry. But you could do crazy quilts. I would then add velvets, and satin. I think you could do felted handbags--maybe do a practice pouch to see how it felts up. Sew it first, then felt it. Patchwork vest? I've never seen patchwork shawls. Good luck.
