Default Jigsaw puzzle quilt

When I saw a photo of this quilt--maybe two years ago--I couldn't wait to make one like it......it's another of my "beginner" projects which I'm just completing. The blocks, except for the black, are all from fat quarters, the colors of which I chose deliberately to mimic those in the photo. The top went together quickly -- it's an easy pattern -- but my hand quilting of it has been very slow (and not great). I've finally finished it....with a little machine quilting added. It goes to grandson Justin who was then living with me and who asked if he could have it when he saw the blocks laid out on the guestroom bed.

This is a fun pattern and I'll make another at some point. The colors interspersed with the black make a nice impact, I think, which is what first attracted me to it. The back is my own design, just an idea I had to relieve the black.....which I no longer even know why I chose, since it may fade. But it works for now, I think.

Thanks for looking!
