actually I don't believe the whole "Deodorizes your fridge and freezer" racket - baking soda does not work that way. Now if you make a paste with water and smear it on something, it will clean off odors (like plastic containers). Also I like it for a mild scouring powder.

Just another racket to sell more baking soda IMO. Like unflavored gelatin was supposed to be good for your houseplants and your fingernails. People are doing less baking and they are certainly using less unflavored gelatin, so the companies come up with "NEW" uses.
