Ooops - Bought two more machines
At least they are models I don't have. Today I bought two machines in terrible looking cabinets. I bought a 1919 model 66 Redeye just so I could take it out of the cabinet and set it up to look at. The machine is great. The cabinet has all the veneer coming off.
In that deal I also got a 1950 Singer 201. It is in a cabinet, too but both of these machines are "barn fresh". Both machines are intact and free moving. It is the cabinets that are terrible. Probably going to put the 201 on Craigslist. I could actually paint its cabinet after some sanding. It is "blonde" and is fine inside. All of the exposed portion looks terrible, though. It was also missing a power cord but that can be replaced.
I knew you all would understand. Oh yeah, I spent $20. That plus my $55 church pew for my porch make it an excellent day at the auction!
