Happy to say Rose is running again!
I got this machine as a teen (over 50 now) and every time my little brother got mad at me he's sneak off and rip the tension out! I use to be able to put it back together in no time. My Grandmother Rosella used her after I left home till Grammie was in her late 80's. I would tune it up for Grammie every summer visit home. After Grammie passed she sat neglected for nearly 25 years. Needless to say I forgot a lot about running a treadle. Thank heavens for the internet, lol. Both links came in very handy.
But I did find some interesting things out today. I had ordered a new tension assembly and spring. Had a heck of a time trying to get the assembly in. Compaired it to the old and its much bigger than the old! The beehive is about a 1/4 inch taller and thicker metal. Counldn't fit the new assembly on with more than 1 turn on the thumbnut.
So I ended up using the new spring and the old tension parts.
Rose is running well!
Thanks again for the help.
