Went to my Guild meeting this morning and stayed all day to take a class.

The instructor was Betsy Chutchian who wrote the book Gone to Texas
Quilts from a pioneer woman's journal. The pioneer woman she writes about is Lizzie one of her ancestors. She went through Lizzie journal and created quilts from her writings. In the book their are parts of the journal so one can read and follow the history durning that tine period. From 1857 thru 1882.(Civil War Period) in Texas. This book has some good history and story behind it.

In class we did the"Nine Patch and Crossroads quilt". I used some of my reproduction and civil war fabric.

Our classroom inside the church There were 25 students
