Another name for the dolman sleeve is the batwing sleeve. To set in the sleeve, sew it flat as suggested, and pin the daylights out of the seam to be sewn. Vogue sewing book should give you good directions for how to do it. Good luck and don't be intimidated. Practice on some fabrics ahead of time until you get the knack of it.
