Default Quick Question

I am going to throw together a jelly roll quilt for my new baby cousin, and I was wondering if this would work. Could I make just a regular jelly roll quilt, and then fold it in half, using the top half for the backing, and the bottom half for the front? I mean in theory that makes sense to me, but would that work for the size of a baby quilt or would it need to be bigger/smaller. If what I am reading is right, then a finished jelly roll w/o borders or anything is around 50 x 64. If I half it, then it would end up 50 x 32. Is there a better way to do this?
