Hello..I am looking for instructions on how to put the handles on the sides of a shoulder bag that has a straight top zipper, not a curved one. I usually make my handbags with one handle on the front and one on the back of the bag, but want to try something different with the handles on the sides. I found one video which is really good, but when I sewed it together the raw edges of the D-ring straps show on the inside of the bag, unless they aren't suppose to and I am just misunderstanding the instructions. I think I would do like my other straps and put them in between the liner and the outside fabric, but can't figure out how I would sew them to look right since the zipper is there too. Thanks so much!
