The other thing is that a jelly roll just refers to the fact that the strips have been cut to 2.5". The NUMBER of strips per roll varies by mfg and the particular fabric line. Your roll could have as few as 20 or as many as 44, so your estimation on the finished size of the top made by sewing the strips together may be way off.
