Hi everyone, I'm very new to quilting and the forum. I'm hoping to get some advice. I have a Brother 1500S. I'm hoping some of you who also have the same machine might be able to help me out.
What needle size and type should I use for piecing my quilts? (cotton and flannel fabric)
What needle size and type should I use for free motion quilting?
What threads do you recommend for piecing and free motion quilting?
I've been using the needle that came on the machine (not sure what the size is) and just some Coats & Clark Machine Quilting Thread ELS Cotton.

While this works, I was wondering if you might have any other suggestions (needle and thread combinations) to try. I've attached my first quilting project (done on my new Brother 1500s), I realize that it's no where near perfect but I'm still really proud of it
