I think I probably saw a picture of a quilt similar to this -- it's been awhile since I made the top -- the bright primary colors set in white appealed to me. The white is actually a white on white tiny leaf pattern, hard to see in the photo. The colored border is pieced from the same fabric as the squares, of course. The squares were from fat quarters though I think the dark red came from yardage.
It looks so clean and crisp--I just love it.
