Wow, that's a cool looking machine. I am glad someone is rescuing the antique sewing machines because they are worth saving. I saw a documentary a while back about China. They showed a picture of the farmer harvesting wheat into bunches and separating the heads from the stalks. He had used an old treadle base and made a nail studded cylinder to turn and rake off the wheat heads as he treadled.
