So today i spied a Singer Fashionmate 237 in a local pawn shop. They're asking $65 for it. I looked underneath and took the top off its all metal except for four parts, the top cover, the side cover, the bobbin ring thingy that holds the hook and casing in, and a little plastic thingy on the stitch length adjusting lever. That looks to just be decorative.

It is also missing the bobbin casing. The motor sounds like its get up and go got up and went. The needle does go up and down freely when i turn it by hand. I also noticed it had a .7 amp motor which is smaller than my Kenmores 1.0. Oh and the lamp does turn on!

So, should i pull the trigger? It is slightly out of my price range lol which is basically between free and $35. Haha
