I have had one for about a year now and love it! I have not experienced any "static" or electrical problems. I did have a problem with the stitch regulator initially but found I had failed to plug it in to the bottom of the machine (boy, was I embarrassed but I am lucky to have an outstanding dealer).
That being said, I am going to have to part with it as our living situation is changing and I need the room - not happy bout this but such is life! I have done several pieces with it and think it is a terrific machine. Sounds like something odd is going on.
